Seating 200 guests against 30 rules, in three seconds.

Planners spent hours dragging names around a spreadsheet, and every RSVP change broke the plan again. Now the whole room is solved in seconds, and changes are asked for in plain language.

Before

Seating is the part of event planning nobody enjoys. Two hundred guests, twenty tables and dozens of rules: this family together, that couple apart, the VIPs at the head table. Planners worked it out in spreadsheets and on sticky notes, and every RSVP change or day-of swap cascaded through the whole chart.

After

Automated Seating is iHQ's own product. The planner sets the rules once and the engine seats every guest, with every rule respected, in under three seconds. When something changes, the planner says so in plain language, such as "Bob cancelled, re-solve", and the plan rearranges. Conflicting rules are explained before the solve, and the print-ready chart, table cards and place cards export in one click.

How it went
  1. 01 · What we foundAssess

Watched professional planners seat real events. The time went into fighting rule conflicts, not typing names, and the venue needed printed charts and cards, not a screen.

  2. 02 · What we builtBuild

An engine that solves the whole room at once and explains impossible rules before it tries. A floor plan to adjust by hand, a chat to adjust in words, and one-click exports.

  3. 03 · Where it standsLive

In use by 50+ planners, from agencies and venues to couples seating their own wedding. Hours of seating work became a three-second solve.
